May Precision Ag Podcast
Podcast

May Precision Ag partnered with Sierra Cargill Marketing & Creative to launch and promote the May Precision Ag Podcast, which debuted in November 2024. The podcast was designed to strengthen audience engagement, build brand visibility, and drive measurable traffic to their website and social channels through consistent content supported by digital promotion.

The Challenge

The team wanted to know: Does releasing new podcast episodes, supported by social media promotion, actually increase audience engagement across digital channels?

Their goals were to:

  • Launch a podcast that connected with their target audience in agriculture

  • Drive more website traffic and digital interaction

  • Increase Facebook engagement with each new episode release

  • Establish a content rhythm that strengthened long-term brand visibility

The Strategy

To measure success, we developed a data-driven evaluation approach:

  • Website Analytics → Tracked daily unique visitors from Nov 2024 – Sep 2025

  • Facebook Analytics → Monitored Reach, Views, Visits, Interactions, Link Clicks, and Follows

  • Podcast Release Timeline → Mapped episode dates from Spotify and Apple Podcasts

By aligning these three data sources, we looked for:

  • Traffic lifts correlated with episode release dates

  • Cross-channel spikes when social promotion supported episodes

  • Standout episodes that generated unusually strong engagement

The Results

The May Precision Ag Podcast launch was a standout success. While individual episodes varied in impact, the combined effect of consistent podcasting plus social promotion created measurable audience growth across digital channels.

  • Launch Impact:

    • First episode (The Gang Is Back Together!, Nov 6, 2024) doubled website traffic within days.

    • Facebook Reach jumped from 16 (Nov 1) to 475 (Nov 6) and 728 (Nov 7).

    • Facebook Views surged to 1,244 (Nov 6) and 1,765 (Nov 7).

  • Cross-Channel Correlation:

    • Higher Facebook Reach and Views consistently overlapped with increased website traffic.

    • Proved that social promotion amplified podcast impact across channels.

  • Overall Trend:

    • Each new episode led to short-term spikes in web and social metrics.

    • Over time, multiple episodes created a steady rhythm of engagement and helped grow digital presence.
